Change paper settings from Letter to A4

By default alot of printers still default to Letter size paper which is used in USA. SpeEDI software reports are designed for A4 paper, and if your printer is set to Letter, sometimes you will get blank pages or funny margins printing. If this is happening to you, then follow these instructions to change the paper size on your printer.

1. Open Printer and Faxes dialog
Press the [Start] button and choose [Printers and Faxes] from the menu

2. Printer properties
The printer with the big black tick next to it is the default printer, this is usually the one you want to change the settings on. Right mouse click on the printer icon and choose [Properties] from the menu.

3. Press the [Printing Preferences...] button on the [General] Tab

4. Press the [Advanced...] button (bottom right corner)

5. Change the Paper/Output options to A4
Change the Paper Size: to A4
Press [OK]
Press [OK]

6. You should now be back at the Printer Properties page
Select the [Advanced] tab
Press [Printing Defaults...]

7. Press the [Advanced...] button (bottom right corner)

8. Change the Paper/Output options to A4
Change the Paper Size: to A4
Press [OK]
Press [OK]

9. You should now be back at the Printer Properties page
Select the [Device Settings] tab
Under the section Form To Tray Assignments set all trays to A4

10. All done
Press [OK]
Close the Printer and Faxes dialog
Try printing a document to the printer, hopefully it prints ok for you

You can repeat these steps for any other printers you may use.
